The Awards for Innovation in Media will reflect the way companies market their products.

Innovation is essential to today's effective media thinking in a world where messages are becoming instantly global.
The 9th Annual Internationalist Awards for Innovation in Media honor inspiring case studies scored for insights, strategy, and results across all product categories and reflect the way companies market their products around the globe. Unlike many awards that cite the best in a single product or media category, The Awards for Innovation in Media enable all case studies to compete equally across all classifications; winners are those with the highest point scores.

A Local Brand or Service in a Local Market with an innovative media solution worthy of international adaptation or of world class standards

# 2

A Local execution of a Multinational campaign

# 3

A Multinational campaign in any one region of the world, such as Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Asia, etc.

# 4

A Global campaign or a Multinational campaign running in more than one region

Note: No other awards offer these types of international categories. Most are by product group (food, auto) or type of media (Search, mobile, viral, etc).

Criteria

 

The 15th Annual Internationalist Awards for Innovation in Media honor inspiring case studies from around the globe scored for insights, strategy, and results. The Awards celebrate some of the boldest, brightest and most effective work from all regions of the world..

Past case study winners have highlighted significant shifts now occurring in the industry: innovative work must go beyond the traditional scope of "media solutions," purpose and passion are essential to successful programs while data and technology often take center stage, the role of content is changing dramatically, and meaningful, shared customer experiences are becoming a new barometer of results. Plus, growth is possible with the right insights and strategies—even amid the challenges of ongoing crises or recessionary fears..

It's easy to enter-- just answer 5 critical questions about insights and solutions, then show up to 3 examples of the work.

  • Outline the marketing situation to which the campaign responded (20 points)
  • Describe the critical insight or insights that became the foundation for the media strategy (20 points)
  • Tell us about key tactics employed and why they are innovative (20 points)
  • Describe how this campaign solution may be a template for other markets or exemplify worldwide best practices (20 points)
  • Discuss the success of the media campaign and how this was measured (20 points)

Suggested length to each question is no more than 400 words

The Internationalist Awards for Innovation in Media are a response to voices in the industry calling for international examples of best practices as media takes the leadership role in the complex world of marketing strategy. Innovation is essential to today's effective media thinking in a world where messages are becoming instantly global.

The Awards are open to those companies involved in media strategy and placement for advertising purposes, such as advertising agencies, media specialist agencies, advertisers with in-house agencies, or any other media strategist organization.

All entry submissions must have been executed in 2020.

JUDGES

The Internationalist team, past winners and participating online judges from all regions pre-qualify all entries. With further consideration, and several more rounds of judging, a shortlist is determined.

Each judge studies roughly 15 entries per session, so case studies are given fair consideration. Several different judges look at each grouping. Top entries from each judge go to the next round.

  • Tactical elements for solving marketing problems through media strategy
  • Demonstrating sustained cross-cultural understanding of marketing issues
  • Providing solutions worthy of world class standards
